Trees grow roots and so do we
Our wish one place to stay
In this town and framework mind
Safety to obey
The world is built to mold a mind
Like soft wet dirty clay
Yet stagnant standing we remain
Black and white-one way

Earth Day Poem

4/22/2018

Views upon where people roamed
Before fast cars and big dumb homes
Open land so hard to find
We pull the earth straight out of mines
Is it beautiful or is it sour?
This human will, to devour
Things we want but do not need
Funded by paper at full speed
Fuck exploring outer space
What I want, this gorgeous place
Land with creatures hardly seen
In big cities where buildings gleam
It still exists and I reside
Along the mountains stretching wide
I refuse to leave this charming land
Here I am small, a grain of sand
A grain in this massive universe
A grain avoiding the human curse
